What Google Says When Your Local Store is Hit by Coronavirus

With the expanding pattern of COVID-19, the coronavirus effect, more and more local businesses have seen a sharp drop in footfalls and are experiencing huge losses to their revenue.

Owing to the safety of employees and customers, all the major brands have closed their stores, employers have allowed work-from-home in almost all the sectors across the globe.

Though, big brands like Apple, Gap, Nike have closed their stores to minimize transmission of the virus, however,
local small store owners or retail shops are hit badly as (~a~ )shrinking number of footfalls are making it difficult for them to meet their ends.

As people are advised to avoid going to public places and mass gatherings , the only time any person is expected to move out of house is to buy in day-to-day requirements from local stores.

In order to help these local store sellers Google has released a specific guidelines that can help them to keep their cash running in hard times too.

Top points to take care of.

  1. · Update Phone Number
  2. · Create Regular Posts
  3. · Change Business Hours and Mention about Home Delivery
  4. · Manage Your Information

As per the guidelines, the best task is to update the Google business page to the accurate information, specifically about the opening and closing time, holidays or any extra service that you are providing to the community or neighborhood.

Do mention, if you are opening late or closing early. You can also mention home delivery hours which would help customers to prevent moving out.

Make sure to update the phone number so that customers can reach you directly.

You can also draft a detailed post on all these changes to share with all your customers and let them know about the specific item that you have for sale.

You can also share the stock updates, that they should know about through regular posts.

Also, refer to the detailed guideline the google has originally shared.
